By accessing or using this Site and the Tribal Funding Registry (the “Registry”), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Site or the Registry.

1. Use of Site Content

The content on TribalFunding.org and within the Tribal Funding Registry is provided for informational purposes only. You may share content from the Site so long as it is not altered or modified without our prior written permission.

Unless we provide express written consent, you may not:

  • reproduce, republish, or redistribute Site materials for commercial purposes

  • modify or create derivative works from Site content

  • use Hozhonigo Institute materials in a misleading or unauthorized manner

2. Access to the Tribal Funding Registry

The Tribal Funding Registry is a free resource designed to support Native communities, including:

  • Indian Tribes and Tribal entities

  • Tribal colleges and universities, as well as K–12 schools and educational institutions serving Native communities

  • Alaska Native and Native Hawaiian organizations

  • Nonprofit organizations serving Native American, Alaska Native, and Native Hawaiian communities

  • Small businesses owned by Native American, Alaska Native, and Native Hawaiian entrepreneurs

  • Native American, Alaska Native, and Native Hawaiian individuals seeking funding opportunities

The Registry is intended to increase access to funding opportunities that align with the needs and priorities of these communities.

Access to the Registry may require users to provide information about their organizational or individual background to ensure the platform is being used in alignment with its intended purpose.

Platform and Registration

The Registry is hosted on the GroupTrail platform at app.grouptrail.com. By registering for and accessing the Registry, you also agree to comply with GroupTrail’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

Registration requires a valid email address through GroupTrail’s platform. To access the Registry, users must be affiliated with a Federally Recognized Indian Tribe, Tribal entity, or Native-led nonprofit organization.

Hozhonigo Institute does not control GroupTrail’s platform operations, availability, or data practices. Please review GroupTrail’s policies separately.

Service Availability

The Registry is provided free of charge. No paid subscription is required for basic access.

The Registry may be accessed through a web browser on desktop, laptop, tablet, or mobile devices. No app download is required.

We work to keep the Registry available and up to date, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Registry, in whole or in part, at any time and without notice.

Content and Accuracy

We make reasonable efforts to ensure that grant opportunities listed in the Registry are current and accurate. However, we do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, timeliness, or availability of any listing.

Users are solely responsible for verifying all grant information, deadlines, eligibility requirements, and application details directly with the funding source before applying.

Grant opportunities may be added, revised, or removed at any time at our discretion. Inclusion in the Registry does not constitute an endorsement, recommendation, or guarantee of funding.

3. Grant Expert Services

The Tribal Funding Registry may, from time to time, provide opportunities for users to connect with grant writing professionals, consultants, or subject matter experts for additional support.

The Hozhonigo Institute may offer limited advisory support, such as general guidance, office hours, or educational resources. However, we do not provide full-service grant writing, grant management, or consulting services through the Tribal Funding Registry.

For services beyond general advisory support, we may refer users to independent grant writers or consultants. These individuals or organizations are not employees, agents, or affiliates of the Hozhonigo Institute or the Tribal Funding Registry. Inclusion in any listing, referral, or directory does not constitute an endorsement or formal partnership.

Any services provided by third-party professionals are offered independently and may be subject to their own terms, conditions, and fee structures. Users are solely responsible for evaluating, selecting, and entering into agreements with any third-party service provider.

4. Privacy

Your use of the Site is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

When you access the Registry through GroupTrail, your use is also subject to GroupTrail’s Privacy Policy.
